To help stem the tide of online radicalization and disrupt ISIS’s propaganda machine, we developed the Redirect Method, which uses targeted advertising to divert vulnerable people away from ISIS propaganda. The results were encouraging — our experiment reached more than 300,000 people and drove more than half a million minutes of video viewing time.
