I see.. I may have insinuated that it’s prohibited but I think it’s still valid to say that the update have deviated from the normal implementation of the PSBT spec or else there would’ve been no issue. I’ll change the wording the reflect this correctly.

This sentence is hardly true. BIP-174 says “if an input is a witness input, then it should not have a Non-Witness UTXO key-value pair”.
