Godrej residents spot-fix Dasarahalli main road

Godrej Woodsman estate residents take up cleaning of neighbourhood

Residents of Godrej Woodsman Estate spent Sunday cleaning up the Dasarahalli main road as a pre-Diwali gift to the neighborhood.

The bus bay along with the bus shelter in front of Canara Bank received a spot fix.

In a matter of hours, young kids and residents transformed the sore sight into what it was designed for — a public amenity site.

The garbage was cleared and a few strokes of paint quickly converted the area into a bright spot.

Having made this impact, the Woodizens happily handed over the spruced up part of the road to local RWAs and the BBMP which has been very supportive of their efforts, Tejasvini Uthappa, a GWE resident who led the initiative told North BangalorePost.

The Woodizens’ Spot-fix has already created an impact.

BBMP has promised to place a security person at the refurbished bus shelter to stop garbage being dumped.

BBMP has also decided to clear some bins placed close to GWE which will help remove the stench emanating from it.
