Criteria to Evaluate the Credibility of WWW Resources
The internet has an almost unlimited amount of information available to users. It can be challenging to sift through the gems of knowledge and the opinionated filth.
One of the three things I learned was author credibility. Before reading an article it is important to research the author and learn if they are a credible source.
There are many self proclaimed experts, however, the majority of them do not hold the proper titles, experience, or experience. It is rather astonishing how many Google.com doctorates there are in circulation.
The second thing that I learned was to always be aware of the date that an article or piece of work was published. This is relevant because due to modern culture and technology information is constantly changing. If something is not recent there is a large chance that it is no longer a credible source.
The third thing that I learned was to be aware of the websites information is posted on. Blogs and Wikipedia should be avoided. Professional and educational sites should be the main focus.
It is very important to research and learn the credibility of an article or author before using their information as a source. Due to the availability of technology anyone can post whatever they desire about a certain topic on the internet. It is imperative to take the appropriate steps to ensure the authors credibility is learned and acknowledged.
