No Educated Person Should Be Racist
This is a somewhat verbose article, my first; beginners mistake š, you can share, bookmark and continue when you can. This is from an angle of self-reflection and extreme critical evaluation of the produce of such reflections, reflections which I sporadically make. Everything I say below should hopefully not provoke anyone reading, these are all just thoughts that are plaguing a young man growing through live.
I am putting it down because from now, I will cease to ponder on such topics, itās not entirely my vibe now, iām now more into self-discovery and since people are seldom on the same frequency as I am, I tend to just do my thing.
Truth be told, one man canāt change the world, but a fraction of it, only the combinative efforts of all 7.58 Billion+ people on Earth can cause the world to change. So I have decided to give less emotional attachment to my humanitarianism, as the world will not be what I envision it to be within decades to come (by envision i mean just general peace, hehe), but maybe we can fasten the combination by daily improving our thought process and thinking majorly about things that actually affect life and stop being brain washed by mainstream media and pressure via demands of man-made socio-economic statuses.
Why Education Is Important
I believe that the only thing education provides you is early access to information and the room to see, feel, fear, read and imagine all that exists in the universe and itās relationships (documented in books and media of all kinds), growing with this privilege from an early age is most times taken for granted, hence the many racial intellectual profiling of blacks or other nth-world countries, ātskā, mistaking intellect for awareness or the cognition provided by exposure to education, such exposure which many African children lack, because of the corruption of their leaders and nothing else, there have been slaves hundreds upon hundreds of years ago, so itās a human thing š. You donāt have to go to school to be educated, weāre all blessed with amazing abilities, educate yourself and exploit your inner maestro.
So āEducatedā People, I have some questions
- Why do we choose to think on behalf of others rather than to simply resolve the uncertainty by communicating effectively?
- Why do we put less value on protecting our emotional stability?
- Why do we then allow mere words and gestures affect our emotions?
- Why do we reflect the wickedness of our ancestors knowing the emotional damage it causes to the victims? Giving the cheap excuse āI am not themā, while we act as thou we were.
- Engaging in the point above āļø, knowing that you can take control of your actions, emotions and body, just by frequent conscious engagement and practice.
- Why do we easily take every word or question as racist without critically thinking about it within context?
- Why do you think a person is racist because the person doesnāt want to date a particular race?
- Why do we scream against racism, but emit bad energy around inter racial couples, especially when one of the couple is of the same race and were of a different gender?
Quick Glimpse Into My Thought Process
Iāve been through many possible situations in life, oscillating between extreme ends on both sides of the scale, but tenacity, the joy of acquiring new knowledge and the general love I feel for the world keeps me going.
I recently made my first international flight and I must confess, this made my ideology of the world more concrete and help foster amazing new experiences and connections. Connections with people from all over the world and mostly with fellow other Africans, itās amazing how we are all the same but yet very different š.
But on my arrival to Europe (Germany), I must say I am disappointed, as I expected more from the supposedly:
- more prestigious race
- only race capable of magnificent inventions, ignoring the fact that itās easier to think and innovate when life is going well. That guy wonāt question why the apple fell if he was currently being whipped and made to work under the harsh conditions that colonisation brought with itself
- and many more, but most importantly the only race truly pushing and yearning for global unity.
I believe everyone is racist to a good extent, iāve been shown more love by some Germans and many non-africans than i could ever imagine.
Itās weird how iām more scared for my life in my own country than over here and yet we scream racism.
I Have a Few Questions Regarding Racial Provoking Actions
- Being educated and being able to predict the possible outcomes of our actions, why then indulge in racially inclined actions/topics knowing how it will most likely end?
- Why employ a person if you wonāt make them happy?
- Why ping me on slack and when we see in the hallway all of a sudden, you donāt know me, haha, jokes on you my dear š, shows the limit of your mentality or maybe youāre just a shy baby šÆ. Since weāre writing now, then iād prefer to be sent a letter when next we need to communicate. Truth be told, I really donāt care, after all, weāre all employees, only the job connects us.
- Why bring someone into your home if you wonāt make them feel at home?
- Why bring foreigners into your country and turn a blind eye to the sporadic and rare continuous show of hatred by the citizens to these people? If you donāt respect and accept these people, how do you want peace?
- Why do you make weird noises around me?
- Why canāt you just maintain eye contact while iām making my order, arenāt I the one paying, youāre taking my god-damn money, take it with a smile, wth? Oh unless my presence alone is bad for your brand publicity, but yet you take my money anyways, ātskā, what a life š?
- Was there a problem with the seating space next to me in the public transport? At the same time, everyone is in charge of their lives and this includes seating where they want to š.
- But if you were racially provoked, why not dissolve the situation and make sure it ends in smiles? Many actions are not racist, but within a particular context, many conclusions can be drawn.
- Why give crazy people guns?
- I never heard of a Black Asian or Black German or Black Briton, but yet you hear Black American and IN GOD THEY TRUST, isnāt that very interesting?š¤
Speaking on Religion
You donāt need to be possessed by a demon or to be consciously seen as different, just because you are; mad, crazy, a witch or wizard, eat raw meat, have a certain thought process or mentality, a particular race or simply: for just being you (although, itās something you have full control over). Characteristics, attitudes and attributes mentioned above can all be influenced by; life experiences, context, childhood and tremendous other factors.
Why am I only seen as humble because I wear a particular haircut, seem shy or bow when I have to greet someone?
Why do we follow unnecessary complications made by humans and neglect the basic message of love?
Iāve met amazing people from many different religions and they have hearts like every religious icon (Jesus, Mohammed, etc) I know about, the further disparity between religions causes more harm.
My Final Plea
To all educated people, with your expected improved cognition and thinking abilities, why canāt you just consider as many possibilities before making any conclusion or taking action?
I like to ponder-on and inspire the notion of love and the need for thoughts towards the natural various unfairness shown to different people, disrespecting race and other man-made barriers.
A lot of people are going through extreme hard times and we cannot simply bring ourselves to imagine this. Our visual cognition isnāt enough and can be easily manipulated, i.e. through TV, facebook ads, etc.. We arenāt going through the worst of life and we most times ignorantly make ourselves feel down and low (although I believe man can acquire total self control: mentally, emotionally, etc; all of them combining to form extreme realism, which in itself has disadvantages š).
Why are we swift to neglect the many people supposedly beneath us and yet identify with religions that have LOVE as their core message?
Oh they are; crazy, mad, poor, black, white, muslim, āfellowā christian, asian, etc.
Blame nobody for who they are, donāt put this pressure on them, the issues of life are already too much, donāt contribute to the hate and arrogance already in the world. Think deeply and consider context within your actions
To Conclude
Weāre majorly physical beings, when we meet people, we cannot immediately know their religion to immediately stereotype then with that, so what do we do? We turn to what we can see and we mostly see peopleās physical appearance, hear their accents, etc, simply, we subconsciously perceive their race and this affects our interactions, but we might deny this unseen bias, thatās just because itās unknown to you. If you understand; the difference between good/evil, that we have the power of choice and that change is possible and constant, then you have no excuse.
I have a free mind, I pride myself in only defeating my best and iām not interested in unnecessary inter-human competitions.
I am not racist in anyway as I try to consciously work on this and I urge you to, just think about it, those little fractions of change added together, youād be remembered for life.
Donāt wallow in thoughts and happenings that are finite or worse; man made, such thoughts mostly sway people away from the beauty of just being alive and filling your lungs with air. Always keep a positive and happy mood.
If we understand and know that we are different in many ways and in our various upbringing, why donāt we make conscious efforts to help reduce the tension between races of the world.
If you have a racist friend, approve a racist action or turn a blind eye, then youāre guilty by association regardless of your race, you are as bad as every other racist person, even worse š.
I encourage you to share this if youāve found sense in it, but if you didnāt see any sense in this, still share, donāt limit the possibilities of the world to your own perception.
Stereotypes and the uncertainty of what the other person is thinking is what complicates majority of social connections š .
My thoughts are a bit everywhere, pardon me for the work your brain had to do. After the call-off of the recent COVID-19 lockdown, I got to play football with my team again, with some rules; only 8 people on the field at a time and no contact. We played with these rules and still had fun, but this led me to a thought.
If 8 men could bring themselves to play soccer today without any contact whatsoever, a sport theyāve been playing differently almost all their lives, perfecting a new rule in realtime, then we can consciously use our brains towards positive things.
TL;DR (yes I added this to the end and not the start š)
You canāt change the world alone and to be frank you might even be doing more harm as you easily neglect how far your actions go. People are what they are and that includes evil and good (there are some of us in between š), so be smart in your connections and have mutual respect for every human. I wish for you that the world favours you, but the change starts with you and itās as simple as that, although simple things are not simple š, oh iām loving this.
