What is Story of Battle of Karbala?
Invitation from people of Kufa
When Hazrat Hussain reached Makkah, the people of Makkah wrote him many invitation letters that he come to kufa and we would struggle for the foundation of islamic foundation.
When senior people of kufa themselves invited Hazrat Hussain, he sent his cousin Muslim bin Aqeel to investigate the facts and wrote a letter to the people of kufa. Muslim bin aqeel reached him with this letter and stayed in mukhtar bin abaid’ s house. When Shiaan e Ali heard this news, they came to meet Muslim bin Aqeel.
Governor of Kufa Nouman bin Bashir warned Muslims not to take part in such a rebellion.

Arrival of Abaidullah bin Ziyad in kufa.
Spies of Yazed informed him that Muslim bin Aqeel is provoking people against the government. Redress him.
Yazed sent the governor of Basra, Abaidullah bin ziyad, to take off Muslim or kill him.
So Abidullah said to them, every head of a tribe is responsible to his tribe. Search for rebels and suspicious men and those who will neglect this order will be hanged.( ibn e aseer part 4 page 10)
Hidden struggle of Muslim bin Aqeel.
When Muslim bin Aqeel felt danger, he shifted to another cooperative man’s home, umme Hani. He couldn’t refuse. At that place, 18 thousand people promised Muslims to cooperate. So Hazrat Muslim wrote Hazrat Hussain that all circumstances are favorable. Come urgently.
Arrestation of Muslim and murder
Abaidullah was struggling continuously but he didn’t find him. Finally, his slave Mahqal found him with an assumed name. He gave this news to Abaidullah Ibn e ziyad. He said Hani to hand over Muslim but he refused and said that I can kick him away from my house but I cannot hand him over. On his refusal, Abidullah locked him in prison.
When Muslims heard this news, he went to Abaidullah with 18 thousand followers and the engirded Abaidullah palace. At that time, ibn e ziyad hadn’t any equipment for protection. He had only 50 people with him. But he succeeded in displaying them, so just 30 people remained with Muslims and he sheltered in an old woman’s house. Her son informed ibn e ziyad in greediness. Ibn e ziyad ordered to arrest Mohammad bin ash’has. He beset that house. Hence, Muslim bin aqeel fought alone and hurt badly. Then abn e ash’as brought him to ibn e ziyad. Seeing all the situation, Muslims said to Bin Ash’as that You can not save me, but inform imam Hussain that You shouldn’t trust the people of Kufa and go back to Madina. Ibn e ash’as fulfilled his promise and disparted a messenger to imam Hussain.
