BBC Article Suggests Trans Women Are Rapists

I don’t really have a lot to say in this article, you should really go and check out the one I wrote yesterday titled “Are You A Rapist?” Today we are just going to poke a little fun at something a lot of people have overlooked about this whole issue. Stay strong, they will not break us. :) ❤

The BBC has once again come under fire for being horrific and transphobic. Usually they avoid doing both at the same time, but have been stepping up their game in this area recently. Something which has brought out the ire of many transgender people and basically anyone else with even a remotely functional moral compass. This time they have chosen to focus on “the cotton ceiling”.

This was a piece the trans community sort of knew was coming. Caroline Lowbridge had put her feelers out for it back in December 2020 and some of us had commented on the situation then, myself included. My tweet makes fun of the concept of “the cotton ceiling” being some scary rape apologia and riffs off the fact that the BBC don’t talk about transphobia ever, not even when its their own staff doing it.

But oh boy did I not expect just how bad this article was going to be, if anything it does more to discredit the cotton ceiling as a concept than any trans advocate article ever could. It really is that bad at proving its own premise, including the…
