A picture of Maya Forstater in a top that is unwise to wear around anyone with the skills to do green screen effects.

Or at least this part of it. In the latest regarding the ridiculous sums of money being spent in order to make transphobia legally untouchable in the workplace; Maya Forstater has posted about her win. But what has she won and what exactly does this mean for transgender people in the UK?

A quick little background; Forstater took part in transphobic campaigning on the internet and was complained about by colleagues. Her employer then chose not to renew her contract which is basically the equivalent of being fired under employment law for that area and type of work. She took the case to court and was initially told her approach, which included stating she would misgender people as she so pleased, was absolutist in nature, incompatible with human dignity and not worthy of respect in a democratic society.

This story has been far larger than it ever needed to be attracting the likes of JK Rowling who tweeted in support Forstater when she lost the initial case. Subsequently transphobic members of government organisations such as the Equalities and Human Rights Commission have shown support for transphobia in the UK too and even intervened in the case to support Forstater’s position. Which is just peachy really, isn’t it?

So now we get to the meat of it all, what exactly did she win with this court outing? Well, not…
