Justin Webb of BBC Radio 4 recently posted on Twitter regarding the BBC’s decision to back out of Stonewall’s Diversity Champions and Workplace Equality Index Schemes. He claimed that the BBC and “responsible organisations” cut ties with Stonewall over claims they had made in a 2017 School Report. Tribunal Judges Griffin and Neville have ruled on a case regarding a group widely described as an anti-trans hate group who became a charity. Ruling in their favour, LGB Alliance are to retain their charity status. — The case was brought before the court by Mermaids UK, a charity for supporting families with a transgender young one. Their argument was that as a charity for transgender people the existence of a charity that opposes transgender people materially affects them.

The latest out of Elon Musk’s Twitter is just as absurd and ridiculous as the rest of it; he has stated he believes the word “cisgender” to be a slur and that saying something like “Elon Musk is cisgender” could be harassment. — Elon Musk’s Twitter has been on a pretty dedicated warpath against transgender people ever since the unfunny billionaire took the reigns of the platform. Twitter was never particularly trans friendly however showed signs of improving and nonetheless became an important lifeline in international and even national trans communication.

After a bizarre anti-trans rant some are saying it shows JK Rowling agree with Nazis that support for trans people is “degenerate, foolish, immoral and authoritarian”. She calls it their “we told you so” moment during her defense of Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull. — The rant is going semi-viral across progressive Twitter spheres as everyone reacts to the unhinged stream of consciousness made possible entirely by a paid-for blue-check on Elon Musk’s Twitter. …
