Zero Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) are a strong cryptographic construct that protects your privacy in the chain entirely from first principles. Unlike some other technologies (e.g. Trusted Execution Environment, which must rely on the hardware vendor), ZKP is based entirely on mathematical principles. Using ZKP technology, we can extend privacy in the Web 3 world in a hardware-independent and more decentralized way (you don’t need to have special hardware to run manta nodes).
Manta Network does not create a privacy token. Instead, it creates a privacy tool. This means that the network is designed to enable customization of other crypto assets, starting with crypto assets in the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems.
