Go to a place called ‘Say it, Say it, Say it

My instinct doesn't lie in naming stuff outright, but in asking questions to understand and start conversation. That doesn't always come out right in the pressure cooker of a small start-up, and I've spent months and more seeking conversations that get to core of an issue which only I seem to see.

I've made the best judgments I can about what I could have pushed hard, and what things were wise to develop gradually. I can’t help thinking though that with Danny(1:25 onwards if you must) by my side, we would have had the relevant conversations sooner, and saved us all a lot of time. Probably, letting people find their own way is best, but being more open about my understanding of a situation, with people who I’ve learned to trust, would probably have been helpful.

While it’s not always wise to vent frustrations, when frustrations become serious considered reservations about the future and people’s role that others simply aren't hearing, an overt ‘Say it’ approach may well be better. Even if it turns out that I was wrong, it’s likely that ‘It’ll shorten the war by five years and save millions of lives.’

Or maybe it’s simply an opportunity for me to learn patience and keep on seeking to understand people better! ☺
