Is kinda weird that you say “controversy… bla… a digital blackface” and the you say “whitewash user’s skin”. So you think snapchat is racist because they whitewash the skin, but when they make a Bob Marley filter that makes the skin darker, then you don’t like it either.

This is like Apple emojis and it’s characteristic yellow color. I dare you to say me that you have seen a human with the “whitewash” skin color that Snapchat filters makes or the yellow color in Apple emojis.

The thing is that in the filters (using human faces as base), you cannot use that yellow tint like in emojis, because that would be weird. So they need to chose a color… it could be white, or black (like in the real human color skin).

Then, why to choose white insead of black? Give me your reason.
