The Safety Of Naloxone

I don’t really share too much first person stuff on here. After all, I only started the blog a couple weeks ago. But on Tuesday, I met with a man who’s all to familiar with naloxone — the opiate antidote that has saved hundreds and hundreds of lives in Connecticut.

The man, who will remain nameless for now, was explaining naloxone to me, when he made a comment about how he had drank a “gallon of the stuff.”

Before I could question what he meant, he took one of the nasal applications of the drug and sprayed it into his mouth.

He explained without opiates in his system, the drug has no effect. From there, our conversation continued without a hitch.
