NOT MY HOME

“Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.
Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.”

1 Peter 2:11–12

Let us be reminded that we are here for a short period of time. This world is NOT our home. Do not sink deep roots here, because we cannot take a single thing with us in the next life to come (nor should we want to). Let us not be like the world chasing riches, but let us dare to be different. As Christians we have the great honor and privilege to show the world that our treasure is Christ. That the one thing we hold ever so close to us is Him who loves us and gave himself for us.
