NASA Wakes Up: Saving Earth From Killer Asteroids Is A Waste

Nice piece, Ethan. I would spend more resources in protecting the mankind from itself more than from asteroids or other cat-astrophysics events.

We all forgot we are as fragile as a butterfly in a storm when we talk about “external” (not depending/created by us) forces. I think there could be little chance to deflect any.

But we could spend resources in recognizing, understanding, learning and planning against those who depend upon us. But the first two steps (recognize and learn) presume thick intelligence.

You mentioned those causes and they’re a rather definitive proof of thick stupidity. You cannot deflect it.

Thanks once again.
