Hello, in this article I would like to write about unusual car colors. Usually the color of the cars we see outside is white or black. We already know that these are the most popular and the cars in these two colors are the easiest to sell. But today I want to focus on an interesting topic.

Perhaps you have heard that some colors are symbolized by certain brands. For example, when you think of the color red, Ferrari comes to mind. Or, when you think of orange, it’s definitely McLaren.

In fact, even these colors have special names. Actually, some cars with unusual colors can be sold much more expensive than their equivalents of the same production just because they are factory made in that color! Also, the number of car enthusiasts who buy and invest in some original factory produced cars in rare colors is quite high. Let’s take a closer look at this.

  1. Ferrari - Red

As I mentioned above, I wanted to put Ferrari red at the top of the list. Perhaps you have already heard the name of this red. Yes, the exact proper name of that famous red: Rosso Corsa, which translates as ‘Racing Red’.

2. BMW - Blue

Again, I continued on a popular color. It’s perfectly normal to see a blue BMW, even more so than white and black. Because the blue color represents BMW. The real name of this special blue of BMW is “Estoril Blue”.

3. BMW - Green

The full special name of this dark green color, which is extremely rare and you can see this color on BMW’s sports model M series, is “Tasman Green”.

4. Aston Martin — Silver Gray

When you think of Aston Martin, the first color that comes to mind is definitely gray. Actually, almost every Aston Martin I’ve ever seen has been gray. We even know James Bond’s Aston Martin in gray. The special name of this gray color is “Silver Birch”.

5. Dodge - Pearl Green

Green is actually a very popular color among sports cars. But I’m sure you’ve rarely seen a Dodge Challenger in this color. There is light green partly in daily used cars, but dark green is generally preferred in sports cars. The color of this special green of Dodge is called “Sub-lime”.

7. Nissan - Purple

Of course, I have to mention this color, which is my favorite, like most car lovers. I am aware that this color has been extremely popular lately, but it is very difficult to find a GTR in this original factory color. Even one of my old articles, Why Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 is A Legend? I explained how valuable is a GTR in this color. The special name of this purple color is “Midnight Purple”.

8. Nissan - Blue

Yes, Midnight Purple may be one of the rarest and most precious colors of the Nissan GTR but one of the colors you will see the most is blue. The real name of this blue is so well-known that if you say to a car enthusiast blue GTR has passed, you may even get a smack on the back of your neck. The real name of this blue color is “Bayside Blue”.
