I like your point that women born from the 70s onwards may have been brought up on a belief that they were entering a truly equal world, and were then gradually crushed by the discovery that this was not the case.

However, I don’t believe that women enjoy less support in their struggles than they used to, because the rest of society thinks it’s a solved problem. Our societies are structured to be misogynistic, but there is much more understanding and support for women in tackling the various systemic problems than there has ever been in the past — although of course we have a long way to go.
