Good day all,

It feels like 2019 has been a blur with how fast it has gone by. As we enter into the final month of the year the team is keeping busy with our main focus on the development of our MVP. To align with this goal the team has kept our efforts towards multiple areas which will be the focus for this monthly update.

Marketing:

Multiple trading contests are in the works for the new future as we work through the logistics of organizing them with various partners. As soon as we are ready to roll the next contest out we shall give you all ample advice notice.

The big area of investment for the marketing team has been with the Ambassador program. The team is spending time daily now doing outreaches to various interested parties who wish to be a regional Ambassador for NovaToken. This can also act as someones foot in the door if they wish to being learning about blockchain and cryptocurrency at a high level or wish to join the NovaToken team in an official capacity in the future.

Other areas we are working on now is an ‘explainer video’ in the form in an animation regarding what the NovaToken platform is. Most people are visual learners and these videos connect well with new audiences for a reason. This will compliment the new whitepaper as well which we have incorporated new visual aids to help clearly illustrate what NovaToken is and how the platform works.

Team:

We had more new faces join us in the month of November so we will be slowly introducing these new members to the team as their roles become defined. The biggest addition we have had is in our development team where we need the most manpower right now. Two developers have joined on and will be with us for at least the near future as we add more resources towards getting our minimal viable product for the NovaToken platform released in 2020.

We are also blessed with some of the mos talented advisors in the world when it comes to gaming and strategy on board and will be working with them more closely going into next year. In addition to this we will be actively looking to add to our advisory board in the areas of non-blockchain gaming and blockchan gaming.

Development:

As mentioned above, we have added more talent to our team in the development realm and are looking to add up to two additional resources there for 2020. Server side work on our API suite as well as building a testing environment are just some of the areas we are addressing right now to compliment our smart contract work and its integration with Loom network.

If you have experience in development and want to be a part of the exciting world of blockchain technology, reach out to us and we will find a way to get you into the family here at NovaToken. Development is by far the most costly and most important part of getting to market a platform like what we are building at NovaToken. That we are going to be mobile-friendly is one of many reasons we believe games of all types will be taking advantage of the NovaToken platform in the future.

Goals for 2020:

There is an ever-increasing body of work being conducted right now on the project, much of which is being done with an eye towards 2020. Some of these goals are currently in the works and will be ready to take center stage next year at some point. Here is a snippet of some of the goals being actively worked on for NovaToken next year:

  • Updated roster of new games added to the staking portal
  • Completely retooled staking portal with several tiers of staking and rewards
  • Multiple partnerships with 3rd party NFT vendors, blockchain and non-blockchain games and mainstream media outlets
  • Grow the core team size to 15 members across marketing, development and enterprise
  • Upwards of 20 Ambassadors covering all key geographical regions
  • Funding secured to continue the company through to 2022
  • Increased conference presence for both gaming and NFT’s
  • Growth of NVT in both marketcap and daily volume — sustained growth
  • Additional exchanges to support growth into bigger trading markets
  • Continued exposure into the Asian markets
  • Continued exposure into the African markets
  • More interaction with NovaBlitz as they gear up for big things in 2020 as well

Closing thoughts:

The project has been able to accomplish a lot with a relatively small amount of resources to work with. From this perspective I am proud of the team and the community who has supported us throughout the transition. The early days of cryptocurrency are much akin to the Wild West of yesteryear. And while by today’s standards, life is much more civilized, in the digital realm, this is still very much an unsettled landscape.

The NovaToken team has adopted a long term vision when it comes to non-fungible tokens and blockchain gaming. The transition period has given us much needed time to develop a culture on the team, find our barrings and unite around a common goal. While none of this is easy, the challenges have been fun to tackle together and there are much bigger things on the horizon to look forward to.

I thank everyone who has kept with us during the journey and look forward to closing out 2019 with you and ushering in an even better 2020. See you in a month : )

  • Jason Cassidy, CEO of NovaToken
