We all go through a period where we question the belief system that was instilled in us throughout childhood. It’s a rite of passage into adulthood. As we grow and experience more of life’s hardships and joys, our thoughts on politics, religion, friendship, basketball, Brussel sprouts (I used to hate them, but now they’re my absolute favorite), change and grow as well. Don’t mistake this vast array of life topics as me making light of challenges that may seem more significant than others. I’m merely pointing out that each of have different beliefs and put our hopes in different baskets, and that’s ok.

I’ve always struggled with politics to some extent. I was raised in a conservative home, and as life continued to throw new ways to look at the world my way, finding my own path hasn’t been easy.
