They didn’t say cops and courts. They said “How Black poverty and genocide is state violence.” Even so, it’s very odd. I can see how black poverty can be seen largely as a form of state violence, but I don’t see how genocide is employed by the state at all. My understanding of genocide is trying to wipe out all of an ethnicity. I don’t see the state in any of its forms doing that. I’ll ask them about it.
