What does WOKE mean?

Woke means that you are aware and intellectually competent and knowledgeable of the times and things you are discussing. You aren’t walking around with your mouth running full of hate and misinformation of what you speak about. Lazy or asleep intellectually would be the polar opposite of woke.

Politically speaking, this is why politicians love those who aren’t woke and speak against being woke so much. It’s a rewarding callout to willful ignorance in their constituents. People who aren’t woke or aware are much easier to control and get a vote from, no matter how shitty they actually are to their constituents. It puts money in their pockets and that’s all that really matters to them.
