…but human application is NOT. And as with all aspects of this dichotomous dimension, the potential for good is matched by the capacity for bad. Thus no matter how positive its prospects or the constructive intent of the inventor, technology is an artificial, impermanent construct, subject to an endless range of psycho-social, geopolitical and self-serving contrivances. As such, every technological marvel inherently possesses a dual nature, an opposing polarity, and thus will inevitably be exploited to the detriment of end users. (ned)
