Speaking as a person who has only collaborated with developers and not coded anything, i wonder how much harder it would be to implement these designs in development. I look at following grid patterns to be advantageous to workflow. I dont want my developers to think about weird alignments unless it adds something more functional to the app other than aesthetics.
