Just For Fools
I told myself
love was a riddle
only idiots tried to solve
A tangled mess
of hearts and hopes
that always ends
in pieces
So I built my walls
sharp with reason
and wrapped myself
in the quiet safety
of solitude
But then you came
Unraveling the knots
with hands steady and kind
showing me that some answers
don’t need questions
to be beautiful
Now I smile
letting my heart be foolish
knowing that the best kind of love
is a melody
we get to dance to.
