Not my business either but definitely not your fault. I’m sure you’ve got all sorts of people telling you that you need to forgive yourself if you want to get on with living. Add me to the chorus. There’s no easy way around it and I’m sure you want to be there for your son, not give him the idea that just because he was being born the night your nephew died is he in any way to blame. If you keep feeling it was your fault and saying so, your son might start carrying that burden. I’m sure you don’t want that, right? As you know, life is short and fragile — live every minute as if it might be your last, but don’t spend too much time in the past, okay? You’ve had more than your share of grief- now, how about some good times?
