A real political opposition — especially in times of collapse — must consist of three things, or it is doomed, quite frankly, to fail. One, it must write a new social contract. Two, everyone in a political party must offer it collectively — in a unified, systemic, integrated way. Three, everyone in a political party must shout it it from the mountaintops, over and over again, every day, until it resonates.

Your job is not to uncritically “report” — that is, do stenography and call it journalism — when the people you’re covering are deceiving the public. Your job is, in part, to help the public be informed about what powerful people and institutions are doing with our money and in our names.
