A while ago I was getting my wisdom teeth out. I told my coworkers about it, about how I don’t want to be loopy or out of it. When I mentioned that I was going to walk home by myself, they told me not to. One of them, the “mom” of my work-pod, even offered to give me a ride there. I said no.

Refusing help doesn’t make you stronger.
