If the Amazon rainforest had a musical theme, it’d be Firma.

The Brazilian trio-producers Sansai, made up of Lucca Scherer, Caio Nardiello, and João Schier, have no doubt increased their reputation in the Future Sounds scene with this very authentic creation that find its root in Baile Funk — a type of dance music from Rio de Janeiro, derived from Miami bass and African style music.

At first play, you could almost feel lost in the creative process and realness of the music, with each beat coming off as confrontational and yet every tone soothing.

Firma takes you out of the pouring rain into a cabin to give you a taste of the exotic strain of future sounds and then kicks you back into the Amazon rainforest surrounded by the chirping birds — all in 156 seconds.
