Five Critical Methods To Create Team A Successful and Winning Team
A successful and winning team comes out of the ability to create systematic, repeatable executions of tasks and plans that create a continuous improvement cycle that will net you great results. Focusing on these five critical methods will help you succeed and ultimately win.

- Do Things Fast, Correct and with Authority
In order to create and achieve you must have a torrid pace that once you learn what to do you do it fast, you do it right and you do it with power. That means in sports, that means going at the correct speed for the correct situation. If play is going fast you must go faster, if you are learn you must learn rapidly, and if it means going as hard as you can you must push to your maximum. That creates breakthroughs and creates massive success. If you go fast when you make a mistake, you will correct it fast and you will pick up where you left off.
2. You must be Accountable
Errors will happen and you must take ownership of mistakes and errors. You must not blame but assess what you did right and wrong and garner feedback to correct the error. No one is perfect but everyone is accountable. When you make a mistake, people respect when you own up to it. This creates team buy in and will have your teammates more likely to want to be around you.
3. Communicate, Communicate, Communicate
Communication takes many forms but do not hoard information, but share as much as possible to accomplish your goal. You must create your team to be communicators and have them share information and demand communication from others. This fosters an environment when decisions can be made better and fast and trust becomes much higher among team members. If you have information that you may not be sure is correct ask for feedback from team members on it. If you have sensitive information go to leaders who can help you create the proper communication on the team. Communication is a loop that must be continuous, steady and improved.
4. Create Leaders & Learn Roles
There are leaders of your team, and there are captains, but the key is to foster an environment where everyone must perform some leadership role. Everyone must have an identified role and they must own it. You must have identify and develop leaders who create a foundation for success and you must create an environment for leaders among leaders. This is where leaders help others to become better leaders and leaders teach others to become leaders. This created leaders among leaders, where everyone has a role where they can lead and they know what that role is. Team leaders or “Captains” serve as figures who the other leaders can speak with and work out issues and problems among the team.
5. Create Repeatable Success on a Massive Scale
I like to call this in football, mastering as many things as possible as fast as possible. Malcolm Gladwell wrote a book where he discussed that someone must do something 10,000 times to master it. That can take 10 to 20 years in many cases and on athletic teams or even in business many of us don’t have that time to master it. We need to do it now, so I believe in the whole part whole method of teaching. Show them the whole task or in football which i coach, may be a football play. Then break the different pieces apart and practice in in small group at a torrid pace and then bring in back together and work at a torrid pace correcting on the fly. You can learn much faster this way and then you can also watch film or video the task to get more mental reps that will help you improve.
If you do these five things with your team on a consistent basis, establish this culture you will have a great opportunity for success.
