While Facebook and other classic social networks do not offer any motivation for building new, long-lasting friendships and therefore are experiencing a tough time engaging their users on the long run, the team from Elyland is building the next big thing by using augmented reality and gamification of social interactions to foster two main needs of all of us: Making friends and money. I am proud to serve the project as a member of the advisory board.

Beside finding new friends and establishing long-lasting connections, Selfie GO includes an entire business-oriented environment: An advertising platform powered by augmented reality. The project shares its revenue with users on a daily basis, by buying back the equivalent of 30% of advertising revenue in SGO tokens on external exchanges. These tokens are then distributed to active participants of the social network.

Why social networks need a fresh approach

From the age of 25 people start losing social connections while it gets additionally harder to find new friends due to life circumstances. Current social networks remain engaging only during a certain period of time because they do not create additional value for users. Nowadays, people choose to interact with content, not just create it.

This is the reason why messengers are developing faster than social networks — they are the most important part of existing social networks.

Being very experienced on how gamification supports the creation of empathic and long-lasting connections in teams within organizational structures, I am so eager to support the project and be a part of a new generation of social networks.

Today, I work as a senior consultant for Cassini Consulting — an award-winning strategy and management consultancy based in Germany.

As a certified Scrum Master and Product Owner, I advise clients mainly in agile and digital transformation projects. I use my knowledge and skills for companies of various sizes and industries. While being primarily engaged in scaling agile in areas in and outside of software development and dealing with disruptive cross-sectional technologies such as blockchain and smart contracts, I run a performance marketing company in my spare-time and invest in startups and companies around the globe.

I publish articles for various magazines and websites but also serve as a lecturer for educational organizations. I am an active board member and “International Twinning Officer” of the “Junior Chamber International” (JCI) — the biggest community of young leaders and entrepreneurs — for 15 years. Therefore, I work closely with the Chamber of Commerce and speak inter alia on technical disruption and agile transformation for business leaders.

Based on my background and the succesful approaches Elyland demonstrated during the last decade, I can not wait to see Selfie GO hitting the streets and enabling millions of people around the world to finally having a more convenient access to new friends and business opportunities.

Highly professional and experienced team

The platform is developed by Elyland and will be published regardless of the upcoming ICO as it is not needed to gather funds for development but to build a way more massive userbase than any of their platforms has experienced before. In fact the platform itself is going to be published already in late summer 2018 — way earlier than the token generation event will happen. This is more than worth to mention as potential investors should not be afraid of the typical “exit scam risks” coming along with ICOs. Beside this fact, the project furthermore offers a token-based economic strategy which incentivizes bag holders and takes care of an enduring demand and shrinking supply — sounds more than interesting (see Whitepaper for more detailled information).

Elyland is an established software development company with a strong track record, uniting over 100 professionals into a decade-long success story. Over 77 million users trust and enjoy their products worldwide. Their last major title with 1M+ players was the mobile game “Draconius GO” which also utilizes their phenomenal augmented reality platform and was valued by Paul Tassi on Forbes some months ago as “a more built-out game than Niantic’s [A/N: Pokémon Go], full of features fans have been long-requesting for ages, and new ideas.”

Being thrilled as a gamer, investor and advisor

Let’s summarize: Selfie GO blurs the line between reality and the virtual world. Thanks to its innovative approach, high security and the use of blockchain technology, Selfie GO opens up new horizons not only for social media and crypto enthusiasts, but also for the whole industry.

I am really excited to accompany the upcoming steps as a strategic advisor to the project.
