Making transition :

Life in school and university is different. In high school, there are parents and teachers who can guide us in everything such as our time will structured by them and they will remind us about homework. But when we in university, we need to do everything by ourself and we must to be independent.

Learning style :

Every students have their own way to study. A style of learning refers to an individual’s preferred way to absorb, process, comprehend and retain information. There are many ways to study for example :

TOPIC 2 : GOAL SETTING & LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

SMART GOALS

A useful way of making goals more powerful is to use the SMART concept.

· Specific (simple, sensible, significant).

· Measurable (meaningful, motivating).

· Achievable (agreed, attainable).

· Relevant (reasonable, realistic and resourced, results-based).

· Time bound (time-based, time limited, time/cost limited, timely, time-sensitive).

GOAL STATEMENT — THE FIVE STEP APPROACH

This is my goal that I want to achieve :

TOPIC 3 : GETTING TO KNOW THE CAMPUS

Information processing model

Three kinds of memories or stores :

MEMORY STRATEGIES

· Spaced practice

- Rather than intensively cramming right before the exam, a more effective strategy is to distribute your exam preparation over multiple sessions.

PREVENTING PLAGIARISM

CALCULATING GRADE POINT AVERAGE

Grade Point Average ( GPA )

High schools often report GPA (grade point average) on a 4.0 scale. The top grade is an A, which equals 4.0. You calculate your overall GPA by averaging the scores of all your classes.

Culmulative Grade Point Average ( CGPA )

A CGPA is your academic performance from 0.00–4.00, calculated as an average of your GPA from all completed terms/semesters.
