My Children, Be Authentic and Don’t Try to Be Perfect!

My wonderful children please be kind, seek adventure, be grateful, but don’t try to be perfect!

I know from personal experience the toll of trying to ascertain perfection..

Perfection allows anxiety to flood your thoughts and emotions.

Perfection leads down a path of trying to please people and finding little joy within yourself.

Perfection tells the lie you are not good enough.

Perfection will keep you from loving yourself.

And I don’t EVER want you children to feel this way!

I know that each of you children didn’t always clean your room or go to bed on time when I asked, but please listen to me on this topic.

If you think being perfect is what is expected of you, it’s not!

Learn from your mistakes, because you will make them, and that’s ok. I will love you unconditionally.

Forgive yourself and others when mistakes happen, move forward.

Learn, grow and laugh.

Please don’t be hard on yourself or anyone else. Life is to be enjoyed as we learn.

You are enough.

Spend time pursuing talents God created within you.

Chase your dreams.

Pursue a relationship with God.

Be authentic to yourself.

Please don’t try to be perfect and don’t let anyone tell you should be perfect!

Progression over perfection, this concept has taken me twenty years to learn and accept. Please heed this lesson early.

Humans are designed imperfectly perfect and that is beautiful..focus on that beauty in all people instead of their flaws.

Each person is soulful.

Each person is simple.

Each person is unique.

Each person is loved.

Each person is enough.
