Day 6: 5 Ways to Win my Heart
People might forget what you said, but they won’t forget how you made them feel.

Today’s post is about five ways to my heart. Well, well, first off: the road to my heart is convoluted. I’m still trying to find my way there. So I’ll say it’d be a tough journey and you gotta be really prepared to be in it for the long haul. However, being the loyalist that I am, once you find your way there, you can be sure that you’ve struck gold. I will never leave you nor forsake you, God-willing. So, who’s willing to start this adventure and discover the thrills of the chase? You should come, armed with a few, or all, of these.
- Be spiritual: Highly important. There’s something about spirituality. It clothes with glory and decks with honor. The ability to be in tune with God and obey Him is fundamental for every human being. It makes your life, and the lives of the people in your life, meaningful. I want my life to be meaningful, so I look out for people who love God and are passionate about following Him. This kind of people, invariably, add value to your life and bring blessings your way. However, spirituality is not in the looks, it’s from the heart. So, often times, you have to really dig deep to find out the truly spiritual person.
- Be kind: For me, kindness is the ability to consider others intelligently and look out for their best interests. I’m attracted to people who have this ability — who show love for others, who put in their best for others, who genuinely care about others, who treat others with respect (I’m working on this myself), and sometimes make sacrifices for them. It goes without saying that the world would be a better place if we all could be kind to one another. As the Golden rule says, “Do unto others as you’ll have them do unto you. ” Kindness has the ability to influence others positively and change their lives and it reaps huge benefits for the one who shows the act. Let’s all endeavor to be kind o.
- Be intelligent: What’s that word used to describe people who are drawn to intelligence — sapiosexual. Everyone has a measure of intelligence — we all have a brain, but some choose to develop theirs. I like people who are striving to develop their intelligence, people who read, people who test themselves, people who try out the difficult stuff, people who can talk about meaningful stuff, look critically at challenges and proffer solutions, while adding a little bit of humor to spice things up. Some people are natural at this; for the rest of us, we have to strive to develop it. But in doing so, we raise ourselves to another level, one that’s crucial in the pursuit of our goals. Talking about goals…
- Be goal-oriented: I’m drawn to people who are taking out time to discover who they are, where they were meant to be and are working hard to get there. I like people who want to be the best in everything they do, people who have a drive for excellence. People like this challenge me to be serious with life and make the best out of it. They are a constant source of motivation.
- Be good with food: Well, uhm, what’s that statement about the way to a man’s heart. Actually these days, it’s the way to anyone’s heart. Being able to whip up something awesome is such an attraction (me that likes food). But, lemme nor talk too much about food.
Well, there you have it — the 5 ways to get my password. Please, handle my heart with care when you eventually do. Let the games begin!
