An Example of a Professional Email

Writing emails may seem straightforward: type out your message, enter the address, and hit send. But there’s more to it than just that; in fact, writing effective emails is a skill you develop through experience.Today, a majority of the way we keep in touch with others is through digital channels (Email, Social Media, Slack, etc.). And misunderstandings can happen all too easily when it comes to written communication.

Here are some tips on Email Etiquette:

1.) When making an email always have a subject. Your subject should always reflect the overall topic of your email. For example, I am sending a student tips on how to create a professional email. In my subject it will read: “Tips on Making a Professional Email”. If you are emailing a teacher or professor, always include your first name, last name, and class name and number.
