I want to say if you care about your people in your agency please take the time to purchase you a book and one for them. If everyone does this we can move this book of powerful information around the world and hopefully save lives. “ Our family” as we refer to it. Review: I worked as a dispatcher for nearly 9 years at the same agency as Sean Wyman. I worked along side Will Blanton, a dispatcher that contributed to this book. I often worked several traumatic incidents as a dispatcher and at one point had such burnout and issues that I had to be away from serving and advocate for my own needs. As a result of my time serving in this compacity, I am now working to become a clinical mental health counselor and psychologist. The first group and those I wish to serve are our first responders and dispatchers who need support more than many people can even understand. This book I used as a documented resource in one of my first psychology courses last year to better research and understand the types of issues that become common in first responders and how this impacts others, even their service, their own lives and the community they serve. I thank Sean Wyman for taking such a great step with this book. This book will continue to be a resource in my office as I move forward in my service to those in need, especially first responders. I am greatly looking forward to reading the next book!
