Why is it important?

It is important to have a Growth Mindset because it allows you to grow your intelligence over time. It teaches you to embrace mistakes and see failure as something you can learn from. For example a student who possess a growth mindset is able to spend more hours on the courses that they have problem understanding. They challenge themselves every day to do better and never afraid to ask questions. They tried to avoid distractions and put in extra efforts towards their work.

Growth Mindset is important because it allows you to “have that underlying belief that you are in control of your own destiny”(Carol Dweck; Mindset). People who believe that they can increase their intelligence through effort and challenge actually get smarter and do better in school, work, and life over time. They know that mental exercise makes their brains grow smarter — the same way that exercise makes an athlete stronger and faster. And they are always learning new ways to work smart and build their brains.
