Finding Rhythm in Brownsville

Something beautiful is happening in Brownsville, Brooklyn…

From the first floor of NYCHA’s Seth Low Houses, the Jazzy Jumpers, a group of teenagers, kids, and patient coaches, are bringing home national and regional rankings in double dutch.

You heard us right: Double dutch. The playground pastime never went away, and now provides a happy escape for kids to stay connected to their community and each other. It also encourages healthy habits like exercise, volunteering, and time management.

If you’re interested in following their championship pursuits (and they’ve been at it for years!), you can follow the team on Facebook and Instagram.
