At the start — a little about Python writing
So this is it. My first post here on Medium. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what topic to start with, even more than the time it took me to write this piece. Eventually, I decided to tell you about myself a little bit. I hope that this will help you decide whether or not you want to spend time reading my articles. Here we go, then.
As my reader — and you are my reader, since you’re reading these words — you deserve a couple of words about me. I’m both a scientist and a data scientist; an R developer and a Python developer; a scientific writer and — from now on — a Python writer.
Wait, what? Did I write a Python writer? I did, so I owe you an explanation of who a Python writer is. But first things first. Let me start with a couple of words about who I am.
I’m a scientist. I’ve been one for over 23 years now. I have obtained all the official scientific titles you can obtain in Poland: M.Sc., Ph.D., habilitation, and professorship. I am an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary researcher, as I have conducted research on such topics as statistics for agriculture, biology, and food sciences; survey sampling; data visualization; econometrics; mobile applications; bibliometrics and scientometrics; media and social communication; scientific writing; and a few more.
