The irrigation system was first introduced by Rsi Markandeya to the Ubud community. Rice terraces Tegalalang become the best rice paddies in Bali. He also taught about the Banjar system to the people. This system teaches that people are responsible for Hindu customs, religions and cultures. Until now the “Banjar” system is applied by all Balinese people.
