After changing out the batteries it will no longer pair with my Mac mini. It shows up in bluetooth setup program as “Apple Wireless Keyboard” but with a type “unknown”. For sale is an Apple Mac Genuine Model A1016 Wireless Keyboard iMac. This one used to work just fine, however it will not type with my new windows computer. I believe it will still work with an older Mac. It connects via Bluetooth. The keys are a little dirty. Also, there was some corrosion in the battery compartment, but it has no issues turning on. No problems except that the keyboard loses bluetooth connection after restart. I read there were firmware updates for that keyboard but haven’t found any. Would (perhaps) be able to install those with my older MBP 17. Go to “Add Bluetooth or other device”. Find the wireless keyboard and click on it. When prompted for a pin, enter any 6 digits on the computer’s internal keyboard and press CONNECT. While it says connecting, enter same 6 digits on the external keyboard and press enter. It should successfully connect.
