DIFFERENT TYPES OF LADIES IN COLLEGE

There are different types of ladiess in college. If you sit in a lecture theater and observe carefully, it is possible to pin point different types of ladies from their mode of dressing, the way they talk, gestures, preferred choice of snack and even the sounds of their laughter.
I once sat in a lecture theater where I was attempting to read a book on principles of material deformation, (emphasis on attempting anyway because I wasn’t really absorbing anything). In my struggle to assimilate, two ladies walked past me laughing and discussing loudly. Of course I wasn’t the only one in the lecture theater so it wasn’t really normal for anyone to be speaking so loudly as it was a reading class. Anyway, for some reasons these two ladies caught my attention particularly because of the way they were dressed and the way they walked extruding a kind of ignorant confidence. The way the color of their outfit was combined wasn’t particularly something one would expect to work but there they were pulling it off in an interestingly funny and weird way. So I decided to abandon my futile struggle and conduct a little exercise by observing the different kind of ladies in the lecture theater I was sitting and these were my findings:

1.THE HIGH BROWS
I have decided to name these group of ladies thus because of their mannerism (and also because using the outright word snob may be a little offensive). The high brows consist of ladies who walk into the theater with headphones on and their heads held high never sparing a glance to the so to say "mere mortals". They’re usually found sitting prettily with their expensive bags, exquisite clothes and shoes and on their tables you could find the latest phones (as if on display). Their friends include those in their social circle and if anyone ever attempts to say "Hi", chances are it would end badly.
Sitting on the far end of my row was a lady whose description suits this. I personally prefer sitting next to this particular group cause they’re usually quiet and mostly sitting alone.

2.THE GIRLFRIENDS
Yeah! The Girlfriends. The ladies who more often than not are sitting with a guy smiling sweetly, laughing and constantly flirting. The ones that turn the reading class to a love nest without a care about the world. Another group of girlfriends are those that come into the lecture theater to discuss About their boyfriends and relationship problems (like the lecture theater was some kind of therapy section). These group of ladies care more about their relationship than they actually do their academics.

3. THE NEWS MONGERS:
This is a particularly interesting group of ladies. They’re usually very easy to spot and even if you didn’t notice them for sure they would you. Now, the two ladies I had earlier mentioned belong to this group. These ladies spend their entire time discussing and even if they spared a glance at their books they would quickly resume their discussion. You could easily get the latest news about who is who and who knows what’s on campus from these ladies. From their orientation, it was obvious that they knew a lot of people or atleast a lot of people knew them. They’re not usually dressed as elegantly as the high brows but you can also tell that a lot of effort goes into their outfit. Their line of discussion ranges from celebrities, social media, friends, family, boyfriends and even the weather; they could even make you a topic if you walked past them.

4. THE NERDS:
These are the perfect Ladies to sit next to in a reading class. The ones actually there to read. Mostly timid, calm and with their eyes glued to their books. Hardly would you hear them talk to anyone. They’re mostly dressed in hoodies and joggers and with glasses (not that every person who wears glasses us a nerd though) and give little attention to their appearance. They usually have little or no social lives and if you are frequent in any lecture theater you’d mostly find them there. They usually have the best grades or atleast struggle to do so.

5. THE PHONE ADDICTS:
The name basically gives the whole description. These ladies are usually found with their eyes glued to their phones behaving as though they had some kinda nomophobia with a book opened in front of them and some snacks beside them. They may sometime attempt to read but are constantly sparing glances at their phones or abadon the book completely. They may sometimes be found watching movies on their phones but the good thing about these ladies is they’re usually quiet and make for good reading sitmates.

6. THE OBSERVERS:
On this very day I had found myself belonging to this group. These Ladies are usually observed with their heads tossing and turning. There’s usually some kind of snack on their table and a book opened beside it (not that they’re actually paying attention to it). They spend more time listening to other people’s conversations and laughing at other people’s jokes.

Having sat in this lecture theater for close to three hours, I was able to pin point the above listed groups of ladies and I decided to call it a day and go home. So did I gain anything on principles on material deformation? NO! But was it an opportunity to expand my understanding of the human psychology and examine how their behavior and orientation affects their day to day life? Maybe! So the next time you have an opportunity or probably like me find yourself doing something not productive, take the time to observe people and things around you even if just for fun.

If you think there’s a group you’ve noticed that I didn’t add please leave a comment down below. Thank you.
