Oasis Shinobi : When NFTs Meet Anime & Manga

Let’s start with a quick background. The market for non-fungible tokens has recently exploded. Trading volumes related to NFTs have soared more than 21,000% over the year 2021, a x210 increase.

In the footsteps of Cryptopunks or BAYC, new collections of NFTs have emerged every day. Sometimes very inspired by their elders, sometimes too ambitious, sometimes selling things they don’t respect, many have fallen into oblivion. Sometimes, some managed to surprise us and to impose themselves as the new fashionable collection.

That said, a collection of NFTs is above all a work of art. Although they have other uses, we buy them because they bring us joy: either in the quality of the design, in the choice of colors, in the brushstroke of the artist or in the subject treated. As when we invest in art, it is important to keep in mind that buying an NFT must above all be a sentimental action.

Therefore, as enthusiasts, the Oasis Shinobi team asked ourselves what kind of NFT we would really like to see represented. After some thought, the solution became obvious: we dreamed of being able to play our own Shinobi in the metaverse.

As absolute fans of the Naruto manga, we had already imagined ourselves as ninja, perfecting our ninjutsu, taijutsu or genjutsu to save the world. How could we not want to play our Shinobi, to choose the good side and to belong to one of the villages of the Shinobi world, or to decide to join the Akastuki…

As we explained above, investing in art and in NFTs is a sentimental decision. And seeing the NFTs meet the world of Naruto immediately shook something in our heart. We had to create this collection, at least for our personal happiness.

Of course, we know that there are many Naruto and anime fans, and we knew we couldn’t do things by halves. The design had to be as close to reality as possible: the attributes should not be invented, on the contrary, we had to take the codes of the manga. We wanted every collector to feel fully immersed in the universe that has so much lulled them before. We deeply hope that this collection will rekindle your flame of will.
