A look into OAC’s new series, Nanner NFT Whitelist campaign, and plans to pioneer GameFi on Oasis Protocol

The Story So Far — the First Migration

The Oasis Apes Club officially commenced operations on January 15th 2022 — with the launch of the deflationary, tax-free utility token $OAPE.

On Janurary 27th the first OAC NFT (eponymous) was launched, and sold out in under seven minutes during presale to those who earned whitelist.

Mutations were made immediately available within our site via burning of the $OAPE token to swap between the Ape’s two charming forms.

Since this lovely reception, the team has been working hard to reward our holders and return their loyalty with a new series, along with dynamic utility that pushes the limits of the available blockchain technology on the Oasis network.

This next chapter has begun, with Nanners.

Nanners
were dropped to all current OAC NFT holders on February 23rd.

The aim of Nanners is to get new friends involved with our Club, growing organically, AND giving those who missed out on our original series a chance to join our community in a fun and engaging way before our gamefi is launched.

— Nanners are ushering in a new era, on two major fronts.

The first utility of these delicious NFTs is to spread awareness, and whitelist for our new series THICCCQ GORILLERS.

How’s This Whitelist Work?

When a Nanner is sent to a new (non whitelisted) address — the sender is automatically rewarded 2 whitelist spots to Thicccq Gorillers series, giving them 24 hours early minting access!

Nanners can be sent around 5 times total, and each time the Nanner is peeled more, dynamically revealing different metadata image upon each transfer.

For an added bonus to $OAPE supporters, token holders of 10,000 or more are rewarded a hefty 20 whitelist spots !

OAC GAMEFI — Tentative Roadmap for codenamed “Ape Warfare”

Our Basis for GameFI domination

Become the first play-to-earn/GameFi/Equip Economy model on the Oasis Emerald ecosystem.
We aim to have an MVP up and running by Quarter 2 2022.
Provides utility for Oasis Apes Club holders
Added Incentive for minting Thicccq Gorillers
A series of daily or weekly battles where users can commit their apes to one faction or another and the winning faction takes charge.
V1 will NOT be using any sort of RNG, as these methods are easily game-able without true VRF and a commit-reveal scheme.
We will be more focused on numbers and strategy to start.
Visuals are secondary to development of core game mechanics.
The building blocks come first, and we iterate from there in terms of design/ graphics.

Fundamental Mechanics

Two factions will engage battle, led by our original series Oasis Apes Club. These OG apes holders can be considered as “commanders” or “generals” in the Ape Wars.
The initial factions will be standard vs mutant apes.
Lore will be created to provide backstory/ immersion into this new Ape ruled dimension.
Based on whether or not your Ape is currently mutated, you can commit them to fight on one side or the other.
Mutations will always be tied to the $OAPE token — this provides a consistent reason for people to mutate back and forth while burning supply.
A web UI will be built to showcase apes committed to each side of the battle.

The game takes place over two cyclical phases: Commit and Battle.

In the initial game beta, Battle will be largely automated/predetermined based on numbers.
In later versions of the game, battles can be influenced by players through the use of power ups/other items obtained in an in-game economy as prizes or purchased in marketplace.
During the commit phase, users will be able to assign their Apes to either the standard faction or the mutant faction.
This phase will last (~ 1 day — 1 week, still TBD). Committing costs in $OAPE token, for now.
Thicccq Gorillers are effectively heavy infantry and the main army members.
They will be providing more backup for the team that they are committed to.
Unlike standard/mutant apes, Gorillers can be committed to either team, offering an element of unpredictability from battle to battle.
With the commit stage has been completed, the battle commences
Apes “wage war” as the contract does the math to decide the winner.
Winnings are then distributed amongst the winning faction.

Additional Objectives

In game marketplace — using winnings or spare liquidity to bolster your NFTs, giving more strength to you and your faction in game. ($ROSE? — $OAPE? still TBD)
Equip-economy, with limited accessory NFTs being available to be won or purchased in this game marketplace and physically made viewable to your OAC NFTs outside game, effectively altering them and adding increased rarity and earned value to your NFT holdings.
(Nanner Peels will be the first accessory to aid warfare)

Community Involvement

Last but not least..
Team and holders will work together decide the onward growth of the game in our DAO!!

These are our initial objectives — we have many more in the think tank/ code library, so feel free to ask questions and pitch in ideas as we develop!

Once live, play along and help the team find ways to keep it interactive and fun for players!

I.E. The game can be tweaked to play with ROSE, or an all new in game utility new token for marketplace use. Pink slip battles can be added, other 1v1 pvp wagering, etc.
