Spot on, this post is excellent. Many great Bitcoin/crypto developers agree that this is the best way to go. A big thanks to the Bitcoin Unlimited team for their work.
Sure, there are a few small-block proponents in the space who disagree, and they are expressing their opinions here. The author explains why their opinions are incorrect for Bitcoin’s future.
In 1995 when people were on dial-up and had constrained to memory and storage many of the applications we use today could not have been possible. This is the same with Bitcoin, where in the near future we will have 5TB micro-SSD storage, faster and smaller memory and much faster connection speeds as fiber spreads. The network can handle more right now and there is no reason to artificially inhibit growth as we have been doing for over a year.
