Did you feed your VS Code pets?
Who doesn’t love a good VS Code extension? I occasionally look around the web to find some new or fun extension that can improve my day-to-day life. This new find brings a smile and joy, sometimes just watching these pets roam around.
VS Code Pets
Enter your new favorite extension. VS Code Pets, by trypyjion.com. This fun extension lets you create a multitude of pets right within your window. My group of pets is a Clippy (blast from the past), a fiery red dog, and my cool rocket duck speeding around.
Adding a new pet
The selection of pets you can add is really impressive. You can add new pets from the extension view, + icon, or the command bar by typing Spawn additional pet. Almost all pets can have different colors for their appearance. They even do little tricks and have different animations when moving. You can either name the pet yourself or use a default name that’s given.
