It’s hard to believe there’s not a real problem when the Bundeswehr has decided to replace the G36, unless it’s an excuse to switch to a larger caliber rifle. The problems mentioned in the post sound easy, but not cheap, to fix — replace fragile parts with ones made from a better plastic and replace the barrel with a heavier one.
