if I may add to the list — from personal experience. At that time, a group called The Way (now The Way Int’l) was well established and active in New York. They held small “fellowships.” HS friends of mine joined and tried to get me to join. They were my friends, so I looked forward to hanging. I went to the meetings — there were sacraments given, and hymns sung. I even did that. Once they started asking me to tithe I became surprised, and said “no way, Man!,” and they gave up one me.

That was 75–76. In 83 I saw a woman in Florida. Nice and normal. We were very close, but I had to go back to NY with my band. We rekindled in 87, after which time she indicated she belonged to The Way now. I knew form experience what that meant. When I pressured her to quit she’d start speaking in tongues. The Way Int’l quietly coerces lost souls they find wandering the streets, in malls, clinics, and recruits them.
