Sorry, but this is a rather pretentious and privileged point of view. Of course if you can somehow afford to work on your startup for 2 years without pay, you should do it. And hopefully your employees want to work for you without getting paid too. But to everyone else who’s not extremely rich, that’s just not an option. That’s why angel and seed investors exist.

How much of your own money did you pour into your startup? How long did it take to recoup that investment? When you say you’re bootstrapping and not taking investment, I think what you mean to say is you’re not taking investment from anyone else. Not all entrepreneurs have that luxury.
