Rose, I believe you missed the purpose of the story by stopping at that first paragraph. It wasn't about the lack of breastfeeding, it was about the complete lack of bonding between mother and child as they were passed off to a revolving door of nannies/housekeepers.

Even so, one mother’s opinion about the bonding that occurs during breastfeeding doesn't negate the value of bottle feeding. It was simply that, her opinion, and she didn’t rant and rave about bottle feeding being evil.
