Have you tried eating products that have soy in them once it’s gone through some heat or boiling? I developed a soy allergy in my teens but it doesn’t flare up if the soy was exposed to some type of intense heat. E.g. if I drink Vitasoy soy milk my throat and and esophageal tract will itch and burn like crazy but if I drink boiled soy milk, the effect is greatly reduced. I have no problem with soy sauce and most chocolates (their components too are boiled in the manufacturing process).

I mentioned my condition to a dietitian and she had told me it could be I’m allergic to a specific type of protein in the soy. Any intense heat would denature the protein and therefore reduce any reaction I would have to soy.
